I learned about lasagna gardening on the survival podcast and tried it last summer. I couldn't believe the difference in crop yields once it was fully established. This is the only way i do it in my raised beds now!

Want to take that lasagna garden to the next level AND grow a gourmet delight? Add garden companion mushroom mycellium.

Wine caps, Almond agarics, blewits etc. can be seeded in the garden in Spring to further break down the materials and benefit the plants. The beds will hold more water as well...

Currently, I support lasagna gardening more so with just mulch, and not with the cardboard if local recycling is available. When paper products are not recycled, it triggers more energy consumption, tree cutting and water use to make new product. Seriously. It was new news to me when I first started to research. Not long ago, I uploaded a new page about that modern twist on the practice. Depends on where the garden is located.

Cheers,
